Legend of the Forest Beast
The beloved tutor Alchir has vanished! And a dangerous criminal with a grudge against Alchir has just escaped from prison. Kaye is determined to find the tutor and earn a fine reputation as a knight. The search leads Kaye, Reggie, and Beau to a sinister manor house at the edge of a dark forest where nearby villagers live in terror of a deadly monster. As they investigate the mystery of the forest beast, they uncover a terrible plot that could destroy Knox. When there’s no one to turn to for help, can they save the kingdom-and their lives-by themselves?
“A cracking, fun-filled adventure. Highly recommended!”
As much as I wish I would have read the first two in this series, it didn’t keep me from enjoying this book and I am looking forward to the next! The author does a great job of setting up the backstory to where the reader does not feel left behind. This book is sure to be loved and devoured by upper elementary and middle grade students. With a nice little history lesson, an intriguing mystery, and a few moments of suspense, this novel will keep even the most reluctant reader glued to the pages! History buffs and Medieval lovers will appreciate the work and the knowledge portrayed in this book just as much as children will enjoy the adventure. A must read and must have for your library or home library.
