Genres: Christian Romance
When Nicole needs a change of scenery, she seeks to take refuge in a family friend’s art gallery to ease her troubled mind. After a few days she feels she may be in way over her head having never run an art gallery before and not to mention the two cute Graham brothers who are around all the time. She knows just because she is an art teacher that does not necessarily mean you can run an art gallery and just because you are now single, it may not be the best idea to get involved in a summer romance.
Nicole’s summer is one romance books are made of. I enjoyed her story, her journey and her path to find herself as well as love. This story read more like a sweet romance than a Christian romance but I really never notice the difference between the two.
The setting of Savannah is breathtaking. I have never been to that part of the country but reading about it and seeing it in so many of my favorite romance movies makes me feel like I have visited. She captures the charm and quaintness of the area so vividly, it makes me yearn to visit it one day.
I am new to Melody Carlson and this is book 3 in a series yet, I didn’t feel lost and really feel this book can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel. Filled with art, heart, and romance, Under the Summer Sky is your answer to a light, sweet, summer beach read.
