AN UPTIGHT BRITISH EXECUTIVE. AN ADVENTUROUS AMERICAN NEWBIE. A SEXY INTERNATIONAL SCANDAL IN THE MAKING. New York Times and #1 internationally bestselling author Christina Lauren’s Beautiful and Wild Seasons series hook up in Beautiful Secret for an erotic intercontinental romp that celebrates the best of both worlds! When Ruby Miller’s boss announces he’s sending her on an extended business trip to New York City, she’s shocked. As one of the best and brightest young engineers in London, she knows she’s professionally up to the task. The part that’s throwing her is where she’ll be spending a month up close and personal working alongside—and staying in a hotel with—Niall Stella, her firm’s top urban planning executive and The Hottest Man Alive. Despite her ongoing crush, Ruby is certain Niall barely knows she’s alive…until their flirty overnight flight makes him sit up and take notice. Not one for letting loose and breaking rules, recently divorced Niall would describe himself as hopeless when it comes to women. But even he knows outgoing California-girl Ruby is a breath of fresh air. Once she makes it her mission to help the sexy Brit loosen his tie, there’s no turning back. Thousands of miles from London, it’s easy for the lovers to play pretend. But when the trip is over, will the relationship they’ve built up fall down?

mustread

I am like a kid at Christmas when a new Christian Lauren book comes out.  Their style of writing, their witty banter and their unforgettable characters have made me a fangirl for life.
One thing I always notice while reading a CL novel are the Austen references  sprinkled here and there in between the pages of their books. I loved  when Bennett mentions his mother is a Jane Austen fan so she named him Bennett and his brother Willoughby in Beautiful Bitch. 🙂  It’s obvious they are Janeites!  As a Janeite myself, I always look for Austen in the books I read, I look for Mr. Darcy, for Lizzie and even for Wickham! When I find a book that has these traits, I love the book even more and I make loose comparisons such as….

Niall Stella = Mr. Darcy (adorably awkward)

Ruby= Elizabeth Bennett (all brains & sass)

Tony= Wickham (asshole, jealous twat)

Beautiful Secret has one of those UNFORGETTABLE  first lines, much like my favorite first line in Literature…IT is a truth universally acknowledgedonly Beautiful Secret has a first line that is a little naughty, super funny and completely unforgettable! Just like Pride and Prejudice!

I loved Beautiful Secret.  I loved the humor and the sexiness of this swoon-a-roony love story! I love how we meet up with the gang again. I love how George is so present in their lives. I love how they all meddle in each others business and lives…it is truly endearing.

I ADORE the beautiful man in Beautiful Secret!    Adorably awkward, Niall Stella is at the top of my Beautiful Man list!

I love the beautiful brainy Ruby Miller who has been stealthily snooping, swooning and learning everything there is to know about her crush, because that is how we smart, hopeless romantic girls roll…

Their chemistry is sizzling, the sexual tension is off the charts, and their love story is classic.

Number of times Mr. Darcy is mentioned in this book…about 6

Number of times Niall Stella made me swoon…Countless…

All in all, Christina Lauren always give us girls we want to hang with and men we want to bang with!

Once again, they deliver a heartfelt romance so great, that it begs me to say….

How much I ardently admire and love this duo!

tagquote

“Ruby, have you seen his fingers? His Feet? Not to mention the fact that he’s about eight feet tall.”  (Need I say Yummm…)

“It’s like he’s stepped right out of an Austen novel.  He’s Mr. Darcy.” (Squeeeeee…Love at first sight for me!)

“Darcy is awkward and hard to read, but when you have his heart it’s yours. ” (Just like Niall Stella…*swoon*)

“For some reason I was unable to call him by only his given name. Niall Stella was a two-name honor, like Prince Harry or Jesus Christ.” (heeheehaaaa)
