He’s a player in more ways than one…
College junior John Logan can get any girl he wants. For this hockey star, life is a parade of parties and hook-ups, but behind his killer grins and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he’ll be forced to walk after graduation. A sexy encounter with freshman Grace Ivers is just the distraction he needs, but when a thoughtless mistake pushes her away, Logan plans to spend his final year proving to her that he’s worth a second chance. Now he’s going to need to up his game…After a less than stellar freshman year, Grace is back at Briar University, older, wiser, and so over the arrogant hockey player she nearly handed her V-card to. She’s not a charity case, and she’s not the quiet butterfly she was when they first hooked up. If Logan expects her to roll over and beg like all his other puck bunnies, he can think again. He wants her back? He’ll have to work for it. This time around, she’ll be the one in the driver’s seat…and she plans on driving him wild.

mustread

First of all, I LOVE this cover!!  I am a Cover Girl.  This one….wow….the black and the purple against the gray & white…perfect!  Oh and Logan’s abs….yeah, that’s the icing on the cake!

This book was super sweet and super sexy! John Logan may be your typical player, but what I see in him is a hopeless romantic trying to break free!!  Despite his initial insensitive break up, he is lovable, witty and deserving of redemption. FORGIVE HIM GRACE!!!  He is but a man!

Grace on the other hand, is not a pushover. She is pretty awesome!  She is tough, feisty and knows what she deserves. She isn’t one to fall easily for his charm & she makes him prove he deserves a second chance.

What I loved most about The Mistake was the way the characters were written. There is so much more to Logan than his pretty boy looks and fancy footwork on the ice.  He is a selfless son, a good brother and a loyal friend.  His home life breaks your heart, I found myself wanting to hold him and tell him it would all work out somehow.  As Grace and Logan build their relationship, they discover they are both stronger together.  Together is how they face Logan’s dreary future and make it better.

I LOVE LOGAN!!!

The Mistake is a fun, fast, feisty read.  One that makes you believe in 398.2!

Elle Kennedy is an amazing storyteller.  It is very rare when one can write humor, heart, & soul.  This girl does.
