Echoes of Scotland Street by Samantha Young
From the New York Times bestselling author of On Dublin Street comes a seductive story of forgiving the past and making up for lost time.…
Shannon MacLeod has always gone for the wrong type of man. After she drifted from one toxic relationship to the next, her last boyfriend gave her a wake-up call in the worst possible way. With her world shattered, she’s sworn off men—especially those of the bad-boy variety.
Cole Walker is exactly the sort that Shannon wants to avoid—gorgeous, tattooed, charming, and cocky. But his rough exterior hides a good man who’s ready to find “the one.” He’s determined to pull Shannon from her self-imposed solitude to win her heart.
As Shannon opens up in the face of Cole’s steady devotion, the passion between them ignites to blazing levels. But when Shannon’s past comes back to haunt her, her fears may destroy the trust Cole has built between them—and tear them apart for good.…
In this 5th installment of the On Dublin Street novels, Our young Cole is now a man and what a man he has grown up to be. By this time we have all grown a bit protective of Cole having met him when he was just a boy, his life was not a picnic and we all rooted for him and Jo to find their place and happiness in life.
I am so proud of Cole. He has had to overcome so much in his life and has grown up to be a perfect gentleman despite his rough childhood. He never really let his past define him but as we know, even the most confident men have their insecurities and I was glad that Cole’s issues didn’t consume him or the story.
Shannon was a bit hard to swallow in the beginning, she was like a big pill that you had to cut into pieces in order to take her down. I have loved all the other girls to pieces, so I was a little surprised I didn’t connect with Shannon and didn’t find her very likable at first but she was redeemable and I like that she was finally able to see past her own insecurities and give Cole the life and love he deserved.
I loved the updates on all the other characters I have grown to love while reading this series, I enjoyed the new supporting characters in this story as well. Rae was a hoot, Simon and Tony were awesome and Stu was the perfect balance to the INKcarnate group. I can’t wait for Logan’s story next!
What a story Samantha gave us with this one, Echoes of Scotland Street is a second chance love story, one that made me laugh and cry from beginning to end. It is a story of faith, trust and forgiveness.
*This story is steamy & sexy… not suitable for those under the age of 18.*
I give this one 4 Top Hats!
