Jessie sees honor, respect, and kindness in his eyes. And the moment she holds the baby in her arms, her heart melts. Once they reach Duel’s home, she confesses she killed her husband and tells him the law will come. Desperate to save her, he offers marriage and she accepts.
They settle in and love develops. But each day grows more tense. Lawmen are coming and they can’t stop them. Soon, she’ll face the hangman’s rope.
The more and more I read Linda Brody books, the more and more I want! I LOVED Knight on Texas Plains! First off how hard it is NOT to be drawn to that cover? It looks so romantic! Throw that in with the words Knight and Texas and you got yourself a winner! Duel is dreamy, plain and simple and his determination to keep Jesse and the baby safe is heartwarming. Through the trials and tears, I fell head over heals for the hero and the heroine and the beautiful love story in this book!
I can’t wait to read the other books in this series! Linda Brody is now a must read author for me! I see her name and her amazing covers and I need to grab that book!
