Being a big fan of second chance romance, I was very excited to read this book. Toxic has all the feels…you become so emotionally invested in the novel it hurts just to come up for air.
I really loved Jeremy, he was broody, moody and passionate…just the way I like my millionaire bad boys. Phoebe was a bit over dramatic, I think she made a lot of her own problems and didn’t really think things through. I will say her dramatics did move the story forward and made it impossible for me to put down.
If you love angst as much as I do, Toxic delivers! I loved the longing, the yearning and the anguish of wanting to be with someone who is so close yet so far away. Jeremy and Phoebe have a lot to learn about themselves before they can truly belong to each other and it was an emotional roller-coaster to get there.
