Froggy loves the library!

When Froggy and Mom and Pollywogilina set out for the library, Froggy brings a wheelbarrow to hold all the books he plans to borrow. There are so many to choose from: Dinosaur books! Books about Space Frog! Froggy is so excited that he forgets to use his indoor voice.

Readers enjoy Froggy’s antics, and so does Miss Otterbottom, the librarian. “Come again soon, Froggy,” she says.

We loved this book. As a librarian myself, we see so many Froggy’s in the library even at the high school level and that’s OK!  It is great for kids to be excited to visit their library; there is always something for everyone! Libraries should be a lively place, I think it is important to teach kids to respect that the library is a place for learning but it is also important to show them that the library is a fun place as well.

Mateo loves Froggy and is able to sit through the whole book!  That is a win for us!!

Verdict: A wonderful introduction to the library for kids and a great book for story time.
